2018 Annual Fundraiser - Wilton Takes a Stand:
Benefitting the Wilton Domestic Violence Task Force
The Wilton Domestic Violence Task Force's parent organization, the Domestic Violence Crisis Center (DVCC) is, per capita, the largest provider of domestic violence services in the United States and is the largest provider of emergency crisis shelter in Connecticut. It serves more than 3,000 women, men and children annually and reaches more than 20,000 students annually through education. DVCC has evolved, adapted, and grown significantly since the late 1970’s when wife abuse first began to be recognized as a social problem deserving national attention.
Interested in learning more, and potentially sponsoring this successful event in 2018? Each spring, we attract over 220 women from Wilton and surrounding towns, who come together for a luncheon and fashion show at Rolling Hills Country Club, to give to a worthy cause. Last year, the club granted $40,000 to the Wilton Youth Council for programs to fight drug addiction and the opioid crisis.
In 2018, our fundraiser will take place on March 29. To sponsor or co-sponsor the event, or learn more details, please contact Lorraine Winsor and Jen Toll, Co-Presidents, at firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com.
Thanks to our wonderful array of donors, we had so many excellent items up for bid in 2017. Each donor had prominent signage. Attendees won something for themselves, while at the same time donated to fight substance abuse. See the list here: Auction Items. To donate an item for 2018, please contact Lorraine Winsor and Jen Toll, Co-Presidents, at firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com.
