Wilton Woman's Club

Junior Leadership Program

The Junior Leadership Program was founded in 2012 as an expansion of the Wilton Women’s Club philanthropic commitment to serving our community.

The group is composed of mothers and their middle and high school age daughters, working together to provide volunteer support to local non-profit organizations and human interest initiatives.

The mission and purpose of the program is for our daughters to learn more about community service, and give back to their community.

Current community areas of need include, but are not limited to:

  • Wilton Social Services, including the Holiday Stroll collections of contributions for Social Services
  • Community and Nationwide ‘Stop Hunger Now’ program in collaboration with Wi-ACT (Wilton Interfaith Action Committee)
  • Student community inclusion initiative, including Disability Awareness Month
  • Woodcock Nature Center’s programs and events
  • American Cancer Society Relay for Life
  • Women's History Month - Junior Leaders learned about significant women in Wilton's history, did reports and exhibits, and displayed them in the front lobby of the Wilton Library during March. See Woman's Club Junior Leadership

JLP fosters responsibility and autonomy by encouraging the girls to be instrumental in the planning of the programming, and is facilitated by two general membership advisors.  Please click here if you are interested in signing up: Junior Leadership Program.
